Background: I learned to sew on my mom's old sewing machine when I was a young teenager. I made a lot of unique clothing for myself throughout highschool. Nothing I would be caught dead wearing now, but I look back on it as valuable experience learning to use the machine and learning how to make things fit.
I decided to cloth diaper when I was pregnant with my son Brian. I immediately decided I would make my own diapers, and made more than 30 fitted diapers before he was born. They were terrible. Once I had a baby to actually try them on, I found all the things I did wrong. Bad fit, worse materials. So I got to work perfecting my pattern, researching materials, and testing testing testing!
I thank my loyal friends and customers who stuck with me through the good and the bad(diapers).

Before becoming a stay at home mom, I made these diapers while also working fulltime as a Special Education assistant for kindergarden and 1st graders. After my daughter Stella came along I made the switch to fulltime mom and fulltime diapers!

What's with the name Juicytoots?: I get asked this a lot. Some people think it's cute, others think it's gross.
When my son Brian was 5 weeks old he had Menengitis and Influenza and was hospitalized on strong anti-biotics. The anti-biotics did a number on his digestive track, giving him the juiciest toots for a long time. This was the timeframe that I was developing my diapers and starting to sell them, and he was my biggest inspiration and the reason I made them in the first place, so that's how Juicytoots came to be.
